Unless you are after "free Internet access", avoid connecting to these networks as their lack of good encryption exposes you to potential security threaths from malicious users as WEP has been shown to be easily crackable in a few minutes. Such malicious users could read any transfers between your computer and the network and attempt to join the network by spoofing packets and bypass network authentication.
